Explore careers that will help you move ahead in the global environment.
For the past six years, the Decade of Difference and the College of the Redwoods have facilitated a county-wide IAW Career Camp at CR. We’re providing individual school districts support and funding to design and implement local IAW programs targeting students in their district region.
What is Ideas at Work? It is a unique summer bridge experience for youth to learn about the great Career Technical Education programs and career pathways across Humboldt County. Ideas at Work (IAW) is a hands-on, project based program. The goal is to encourage youth to explore the vast opportunities offered through Humboldt County’s education institutions; High Schools, CR and/or HSU. In addition to the hands-on, project based experience, IAW links with local industry partners to heighten awareness of career opportunities and the practical application of newly acquired skills.
This year’s program:
- A-Town Bridge 2 Success – June 19-23, 2017, Arcata High School
While the career/industry sector and location will vary by district, the elements and general framework of the camps will remain consistent.
